Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition affecting about 1 in 1,000 people in Wales.  Because MS affects the brain and spine (central nervous system) any part of the body can be affected. Some symptoms are more common than others, such as fatigue, difficulty balancing

numbness or pins and needles, muscle stiffness or spasms as well as

sight or bladder problems.  For many people, it later becomes a progressive condition, with symptoms gradually getting worse.

For everyone, it causes uncertainty about how it might affect them in the future and raises questions about how best to manage this life-long condition.
